Our programs believe quality arts education is for everyone and are dedicated to the impulse of artistic creation, preservation of indigenous knowledge, production, and diffusion of the Peruvian cultural expressions for benefit of the Chicago community and general society
This program is designed to transmit Peruvian culture through the practice of traditional arts. We count on qualified staff who develop academic enrichment, and some youth workers who provide recreational activities. The promotion of indigenous Peruvian art is directed as a tool for social change based on the conservation of cultural values in society.
Through this program, we do community development with an effervescent artistic and cultural environment working for a more accessible participatory, and decentralized culture. Connecting the different artistic disciplines to their social context that pursues above aesthetic achievements, a benefit or social improvement which favors community participation based on creativity as a real force for social transformation.

Cost: $220 ( The cost cover 12 classes and 2 traditional attires use only for closing ceremony day. DANCE
Kids: 5-12 y/o 4-5 PM - Niños de 5-12 años de 4-5 PM
Through this discipline, children can learn to communicate better with their peers, enjoy physical exercise and develop cognitive skills. The most amazing thing is that it can help them express that which they are not able to say with words.
In these classes, participants will enjoy the development of their creativity and the benefits of dance through traditional and contemporary games, such as social development, physical activity, discipline, physical and auditory development, and coordination. Through the practices, the values of respect, leadership, teamwork and valuing their cultural roots will be developed. This allows the child to strengthen personal integration while reinforcing their group identity and sense of community. The joint work has the mission of reinforcing and providing a comprehensive education to the participants, reinforcing their self-esteem for the development of a consistent human being for the future.
At the same time it gives them a new perspective on the culture and builds an unconscious connection. With this connection, students are more likely to be respectful of other cultures because they don't seem so foreign to them.

En estas clases los participantes disfrutaran mediante juegos tradicionales y contemporóneos el desarrollo de su creatividad y los beneficios de la danza como el desenvolvimiento social, su actividad física, la disciplina, su desarrollo corporal y auditivo y su coordinación. Mediante las practicas se desarrollaran los valores de respeto, liderazgo, el trabajo en equipo y valorar sus raíces culturales. Esto le permite al niño fortalecer la integración personal al mismo tiempo reforzar su identidad grupal y sentido comunitario. El trabajo en conjunto tiene la misión de reforzar y brindar una educacion integral hacia los participantes reforzando su autoestima para el desarrollo del ser humano consistente para el futuro.
A la misma vez les brinda una nueva perspectiva sobre la cultura y construye una conexión inconsciente . Con esta conexión, es más probable que los estudiantes sean respetuosos con otras culturas porque no les parecen tan ajenas.

CAJON CLASSES
Cajon classes from 7 y/o and more 6:30 to 7:30 PM
In the Peruvian Cajon courses, the main rhythmic and musical aspects of Afro-Peruvian rhythms are addressed, such as the festejo, the landó, and the marinera. In the Peruvian Cajon classes, the following percussion instruments are used: Peruvian Cajon, Cowbells, and Percussion accessories. We work on the technical, rhythmic, and musical aspects necessary to learn to play percussion and develop as a percussionist in the Peruvian Cajon workshops.

En los cursos de cajón peruano se abordan los principales aspectos rítmicos y musicales de los ritmos afro-peruanos como el festejo, el landó y la marinera. En las clases de Cajón Peruano se utilizan los siguientes instrumentos de percusión: Cajón Peruano, Cencerros y Accesorios de Percusión. Trabajamos los aspectos técnicos, rítmicos y musicales necesarios para aprender a tocar percusión y desarrollarse como percusionista en los talleres de cajón peruano.

Join the party! Learn some movements that will make you feel great while you explore the different dances of Peru. Wear comfortable colorful clothes, and we will bring a new experience for you with dance and music, activities and games. Open to all!
¡Ilumina la vida! Ven a la fiesta con nosotros para aprender algunos movimientos que te hará sentir muy bien mientras bailas las diferente danzas del Peru. Ponte ropa cómoda para bailar con colores que te gusten y et haga brillar y traeremos una nueva experiencia para ti con la danza y la musica. Habrá mucho danzas y actividades divertidas para aprender el significado de las danzas y juegos emocionantes para todos. ¡Ven a bailar, brillar y celebrar el verano con nosotros!
Dance
In these fun classes, participants will enjoy not only exercising their body, memory and attention, they will also enhance self-esteem and self-confidence, overcoming shyness and keeping loneliness away. The development of the program will allow adults to acquire knowledge, develop their social interaction, maintain their fine and gross motor skills. En estas clases divertidas los participantes disfrutaran no solo de la ejercitación de su cuerpo, la memoria y la atención, también potenciaran el autoestima y la confianza en ellos mismos venciendo la timidez y alejándolos la soledad. El desarrollo del programa permitirá a las personas adultas adquirir conocimientos, desarrollar su interacción social, conservar su motora fina y gruesa.
